My plan was not to remove all the details from the AMP and transfer them across to the new one as I will add the small details later on in the year. This is so I can get all the compartments ready for paint without having to negotiate the spray gun around pipes, pumps and valves.

There were however, three eyelets which, on the real thing, were welded to the bulkhead and used to fix chains and block and tackles too when lowering torpedoes through the forward loading hatch. I opted to fix these to the bulkhead as painting around them won't be so problematic.

I decided to make my own based on the measurements I collated from the AMP.

The eyelets were made from 3mm x 1mm plastic strip. I drilled a 1.6mm hole through the strip to form the eyelet itself. I filed the curve around one end and cut the other end to give me the correct length. I made three in total.

The attached photo shows the first eyelet drilled and filed prior to cutting compared to the AMP part.

After transferring the measurements for the eyelet locations over to the new bulkhead I glued all three in their respective places.
