I really hate to but looks like I will have to cancel my subscription as they continue to ignore my messages on the website. Instead of booting me they just leave my messages unanswered for the last 30 minutes this time. At least until I said I wasnt going to go away until I got a response then they finally booted me. GREAT customer service there Guess I will only have my full size r2 to build now.

Thats a shame Kental, hopefully your parts will arrive soon. With regards to my replacement issue it's showing in my subscriptions page so hopefully it will be here soon. All I want is the poster but it looks like they are re sending the entire first issue

Real shame. If I had one, I'd send you the poster for free, but I'm in the UK and getting it through the local newsagent, so not entitled to a poster in the first place. Don't understand customer service like that at the best of times, but it does unfortunately happen sometimes. Hopefully darbyvet will have you sorted. If not, I hope you are still planning on looking in on us here, there are some pretty amazing builds going on. There are some good builds here No Doubt. And yes I will stick around and see how people are going. As of yet still no luck with the CS dept responding to me. I may just turn this into a log of my full size build if things aren't corrected by the end of the week with customers service lack of response. That way people can see what the same money could do on the real deal.

Would love to subscribe to that. It's only now as we get to the final layer of the dome superstructure that I am getting a true sense of his (small) size. Would certainly be interested in a build diary of a 1:1 scale version, what parts you need, where to find the dome, what capabilities you can have, etc. Current Builds Eaglemoss: Ecto-1, BTTF Delorean [Installing Mods] Hachette: T800 Endoskeleton Agora Models Shelby Cobra 427 [Plate 031] BanDai 1:5000 Imperial Star Destroyer AMT 1991 U.S.S. The 1:1 r2 is being 3d printed as we speak. 99% of the frame dome legs and feet can be 3d printed. I currently just finished his radar eye frame and am now printing a few other panels for the dome.

Full size R2 update: I've printed most of the dome panels now for the 1:1 scale R2. This droid is going to be red and black when finished so I am using those filament colors so if the paint job gets scratched it will be hard to notice. It's taken about a week to print off all these parts. Someone asked me what skills you need to build a full size r2 droid so... Basically if you can build rc cars you have the skills needed to build r2. There are several ways which you can build him. Using metal, styrene, wood or 3d printed with ABS or PETG filament. I have chosen to build mine by 3d printing with PETG filament and using weld-on 16 to bond the pieces together. If any of you choose to go this route just know super glue is NOT the way to bond these droids it will not hold up to the stress the droid will undergo. Kental attached the following image(s):

So going to watch this thread, as I would love an R2 at full size myself. Would be looking at a replica of R2-Q5 personally, the version I will be working on with the partwork once I can get decent enough weather to be able to lacquer him properly. But as you are going bigger, I thought I would add my efforts at going smaller. Finemoulds 1/48 and 1/72 scale. I also have the Bandai 1/12 scale to get around to sometime. Mr baddeley on thingiverse has release officially approved 3d files. Go to his patrion page to get his latest files. They are free to all. As for the electronics go to the astromech.net website. It is the official website of the r2 builders club and has everything there for building r2 full size.
As for my printer I am currently using a cheap tronxy p802-mhs with 220x220x240 build size. But I am custom building a prusa i3 based printer that will hopefully be closer to 300x300x300

Mid section of the dome for the 3d printed r2 1:1 scale is slowly coming together. hope y'all like this update. I will be posting an update soon for the deagostini r2 soon, since I finally got the replacement parts so the update to it will be quick. I have completed issues 1-12 now with it just didn't take photos of each step trying to get back on track. I'm going to leave my subscription active on it for a bit longer. Hopefully I won't have an issue with the next few shipments. Kental attached the following image(s):

As for my full size 3d printed r2 unit (Named R2-AR) here is my current progress on it. Yes I have progressed well on the dome, much further then with deagostini's model. Kental attached the following image(s):

Since customer service as ignored all my emails last week and my messages today on Facebook I am posting here as notice that I am done with your company and am canceling my subscription. Your company sure knows how to put off its customers time and time again.
