Yet further supports added. These were all fitted by using a small piece of 0.5mm plastic sheet to represent the hull as guide. From there i could make each support the correct depth to maintain the hull curvature. At this stage i had been continuously test fitting a 0,5mm thick sheet, which mimicked the hull, to check that it would have the correct, round profile when fitted to the supports. Once i was happy, i went back to the hatch and concentrated on fitting this prior to fixing the inner pressure hull. I had to fabricate sides for the hatch so that i could use their edge as a guide when aligning it to the hull supports, otherwise it might sit too proud and the hull supports are redundant or too low and there would be a gap between it and the hull. Another view showing the completed inner pressure hull. I still have to trim, file, apply filler and further file on all these sections, but so far i'm very happy with the way it has turned out. At times progress was very slow, especially during the hot evenings when it felt like i had achieved very little. In the attached photo you can see the recessed torpedo loading hatch.
