Looks like you're almost done. Well, I say almost, but looking at pack 12 there's a years worth of work in there, I'd guess. She looks impressive already as she is. Great work.

eebygum wrote:Hi Guys
Got pack 11 today full of bling and more bling. one small problem with issues 116 and 117 the instructions indicate that there should be 5mm dead eyes when in fact in both packs 116 and 117 they are in fact 4 mm. Not sure how that will pan out once I get to pack 12 and all the rigging I could at worse use the wrong size dead eyes. have to wait and see. Another thing there is a lot of brass there to blacken the stuff I use seems a bit expensive "photoetch burnishing by AK interactive" does anyone know of an alternative?
Thanks for looking I will put up some more photo's after fitting the bling
Thanks again
Rgds
Terry Hi Terry, Just to inform you that build Stage 117, has been confirmed there is typo in the instructions, the deadeye size noted in the parts content should be 4mm instead of 5mm and that Stage 116 should contain 5mm deadeyes - 4mm supplied - 5mm deadeyes are being re-supplied. Also the PDF for Stages 120 and 121 is being updated in terms of the two gallery statues, which currently show's incorrect statues to those supplied.
Hope this info helps Chris

Hi Guys just a small update, had a few family problems so the build is a bit all over the place apologies for the window photo's. I must say that the instructions in pack 12 are IMHO not very good they seem to be all over the place and not being an experienced modeller I tend to stick to the instructions to the letter not in the case for this pack. that is my personal opinion and no disrespect whoever wrote them. to be honest I got lost a few times so thank goodness this is the last pack. definitely not looking forward to the rigging, the instructions for HMS Victories rigging were so easy to follow this build isn't. Again that's my own personal honest opinion. anyway here are the latest pictures. eebygum attached the following image(s): FINISHED BUILDS---- HMS Victory--Bismarck--Battleship Yamato-D51 Steam Train--Pocher Ferrari Testarossa--Soleil Royal--Schnellboot S-100--StageCoach 1848--HMS HOOD-- Delorean (Back to the Future)

My plan for pack 12 is to declare the model a hull model after pack 11 and stop the build, then wait until I have more experience with rigging before restarting. Gonna do either SotS or the Gorch Fock in the mean time. Probably the Gorch Fock

It doesn't look bad in my honest opinion . The best way I have found of doing the rigging is to do one mast at time and I usually start from back to front and I use a high lighter pen to mark the ones I have done on the plan . The braces are the pain as they tend to get in the way. Keep the faith my friend and it will turn out ok Rgd Martyn Building ? Completed. Soliei Royal . Sovereign of the Seas . Virginia . Scotland . San Felipe . Corel vasa , Santisima Trinadad X section , Vasa Next Build ? When sailors have good wine, They think themselves in heaven for the time. John Baltharpe
