Hi guys
I have a simple question what is a good method of applying glue for gluing the planks to the side of the ships for stages 21-25 and on with out making a mess , I have been using a artist paint brush at this point but do not like the mess I'm making, can I use a smaller paint brush or a glue syringe that narrows to a small hole what are you'll thoughts on this thank you

Hi Ron, I simply use a small brush to apply the glue and once the parts are fitted together I use a damp cloth or sponge to wipe away the excess.. works for me....Cool Cool

I put my glue on straight from the bottle. Creating a thin and consistent bead leaves a neat finish. Just my way.

I use a cocktail stick. decant some glue into a milk bottle top and use the cocktail stick to apply. a damp j cloth works well for any glue seepage

I've been doing something similar to what Jase describes, but using a pointy 'thing' that came with a craft knife set. essentially looks like a metal cocktail stick with a handle :-)

I'll squeeze a bit of wood glue into a bottle cap, then just 'lift' a bit out and spread it onto the surface to be glued. basically imitating the official diary build videos. I find it to be incredibly accurate, but does sometimes need a top up to make sure a contact is made.

Good luck with the build though Ron, have you got any pictures up yet?
