I have been asked on explaining how to create a diary index with associated links to specific pages or posts. When I sent the information to the member it was suggested I post the information for others to follow... Hope some of you will find it useful... Creating links to pages to build a diary indexFirst decide where in your diary you wish to put the index and create the index by simply typing it out not forgetting to including the page numbers or post numbers. 1. Click on any page number. Gandale attached the following image(s):

2. Copy the URL by highlighting, right click and select ‘Copy’. Note, the URL line should end with the page or post number. Gandale attached the following image(s):

3. Go to your index and click on the ‘Edit’ button and highlight the page or post number and only the page or post number. Gandale attached the following image(s):

4. Click on the ‘Link’ icon as shown Gandale attached the following image(s):

5. You should be presented with the window shown below. Right click and select paste. This should paste the URL you copied in point no 2. Then click on ‘OK’ Gandale attached the following image(s):

6. Finally click on save to save your post. Link should now be created. 7. If you have many pages then simply paste and modify the page number at the end of the URL line rather than going to each line or post and copying. 8. Finally create a link on your Signature box to point to your diary index as shown … job done…. Comments welcome... Gandale attached the following image(s):

If anyone feels this needs to be expanded further then please let me know and I'll see what I can do...

Hi, I've been having a play round trying to add links for awhile with no luck and then this morning I came across this post that explains exactly how to do it, really pleased to find it! - works a treat thanks Alan May.
