Hi all my wife and I with my son and his girlfriend went to Duxford for the flying legends show yesterday,it was brilliant with lots of stunning aircraft and very close formations. The show was just coming to the end and there was about twenty aircraft in the air doing there last fly past when a Mustang broke formatiion and lost hight very quickly and crossed the airfield then disappeared behind one of the hangers  Next thing was a announcement over the pa that a incident had happened and to stay where we were after 45mins we were told that the Mustang had crashed landed but the pilot was Ok  . It seems he had an engine failure but by brilliant flying he managed to get it into a corn field just missing the M11 . Looking at the pictures on the tv the plain seems not to badly damaged  Will post some pics of the show later Rgd Martyn Building ?

Hi Martyn,  So happy that there was no serious injuries following the incident. That said, I look forward to some of your pics. Some fabulous photos there Martyn, particularly like the Buchon, the Blenheim Mk.1 and the Sea Fury in prototype colours, very nice and very cool for you to be able to get so close to them!!
