BBC News are covering an attempt to raise two bouncing bombs from a Scottish Lock where they were trailed over 7o years ago, lets hope they are successful

I would say a bit of poor reporting by the BBC, the Hiighball bomb was never used in the Dambuster raids.

There are currently no "Highball" bombs on display, which were designed to be dropped from the two engined Mosquito against capital ships, such as the Tirpitz though Tirpitz was sunk with 12,000lb Tallboy bombs.
The Dams raid (Upkeep) bouncing bomb was of a larger/heavier cylinder design rather than spherical, which needed a 4 engined aircraft for its delivery, the Lancaster was used in its "special provisioning" guise.
The Upkeep proved satisfactory for use though the Highball was found to be less accurate after release and is why it was not used against the Tirpitz.

Great idea to put the Highballs on display in British museums which will be timed for the 75th anniversary of the Dambuster raid in 2018, though it's more of a memorial to Barnes Wallis who designed both bombs and the Mossie crews that carried the Highball.

Wonder if Carling will resurrect this "highball" TV ad even though the highball was not used in the dams raid.. the ad was for Italia 90 World Cup... https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=yCmhR2JK1VE
