What about TARDIS with full interior?  Any images I post on my personal builds are free to be used and shared under Creative Commons Attribution license, which means you can do what you want with them, on the condition you mention I'm the author.

I already have . However, K-9 would be a wonderful idea. Just think, I bet they could re-cycle a lot of the electronics used on R2 for drive etc, the nose 'laser' could be a strong, red light. Rotating 'ears would be easy, and the head and tail just go up and down. The hardest thing would probably be the extending probe. Instead of a visual projector, you would just need something to play a number of audio phrases, and maybe some working buttons and lights on the control panel on his back. Current Builds
