How about an RC K-9. Its his 40th birthday in October. you could really go to town with sound effects moving ears extending eye sucker projector in the mouth gun. and maybe a fridge for my beer in the engine compartment

I already have Laugh .

However, K-9 would be a wonderful idea. Just think, I bet they could re-cycle a lot of the electronics used on R2 for drive etc, the nose 'laser' could be a strong, red light. Rotating 'ears would be easy, and the head and tail just go up and down. The hardest thing would probably be the extending probe. Instead of a visual projector, you would just need something to play a number of audio phrases, and maybe some working buttons and lights on the control panel on his back.
