I noticed I had missed some etch due to it being on the exterior set and the nose guns being interior in my mind. however this has now been added, awaiting painting in before the ammunition feeds are added

My resin replacement parts have arrived. they are a great improvement on the kit parts. I have not used the brand of resin before but they are great quality with clear yet simple instructions.

I have used Aluminium wax for the metalwork, yet to be polished before the copper of the shells is added.

The ammo Box also has a little etch added, after being modified to receive the resin parts

The fuselage quarters have been joined and painted cockpit green where indicated in the instructions. More etch replaces some of the moulded detail on one of the units. the hosing that connects it to another unit has very heavy moulding and I felt I could not hide it with a wash. So I cut the part off and tried out the plastic with a sharp blade.

Some of the kit etch goes in at this point such as the compass bracket. Most units are painted semi gloss black before installing I will build up etch etc in position. The Bombay sub assembly has also been started.

Thanks all for looking in,

a little more progress, fuselage lights have been added as well as some more cock pit fittings and some bow bay parts. The range finder is moulded in clear plastic making it easy to have the clear glass, it does however make it a bit challenging to paint.

With the cockpit complete and the internals of the two fuselage halves finished and weathers as the rest of the cockpit the 2 halos can be brought together. The map was also added to the navigators seat. Fit was a little troublesome, the amount of parts in the cockpit means if anything is not 100% bob on the two halves don't quite mate. two of my resin replacement parts immediately dropped of under dry fitting Cursing

The tail wheel mud guard is made up next as is the main section of the tail. parts are left as sub assemblies for now until I have a good number to paint in one go.

The nose cone has also been assembled ready for further painting. the nose camera is added at his point. the etch is included in the kit not an addition.

The build continues with the start of the engines, these are very busy with many parts. I will be building one fully and one less so as only one will be seen. the parts need some of the fasteners supplied in the kit and the first use of the magnets. as well as the need for drilling out some parts in different sizes. all goes together without effort kit supplied etch on the air intakes looks the part.

Lots of small mould lines to clean up and make good going by your pics to bring out that extra detail just something I would do before final assembly but apart from that looking good Cool
