BigGrin Thanks for the comments guys Cool

The arm is slowly getting better and thanks for the good wishes Cool

Right on to the good bit I have finished the first planking and given it a good sanding and a bit of filler very pleased with the way it's turned out Cool

The planking on the stern and forecastle has been applied as per instructions Cool

Now starting the planking on the sides of the ship. I have deviated very slightly from the instructions as I have fitted the false keel as I like to plank up against it so there is no gap visible. The next change is I am lining the inside of the cannon ports instead of painting them by using the left over planks from the ships boats Cool

Thanks for following rgd Martyn

BigGrin Thank you very much for the comments guys Cool

A bit more done on the SR Cool

I have started planking the lower hull and now moving upwards towards the top. To keep the planks inline I had to put in a half stealer and looking how they are going I might have to put one more in but we shall see Cool hopefully the next instalment will be the whole hull will be complete Confused

Cheers for looking rgd Martyn

BigGrin Cheers guys for the great comments Cool

I have now finished the second planking and have given it a light sanding and a coat of varnish. I got away with only two droppers and three stealers Cool and really happy how it's turned out
Next job painting the upper hull. For every body saying that's a bit early I'm not following the instructions as I want to fully rig the cannons plus it's easier to paint now before I fit the whale as it will give me a nice clean line Cool
The whales were fitted next and I have joined them together with a scarf joint Cool
Once the whales have been fitted it's on to fitting the cannons to the main deck and the cross deck over the top of them

See you soon Rgd Martyn
