Way to go Carl... MM... that's what makes it fun... you just take a guess... if you're any kind of fan most of the answers should come easy... but it's not only fun to find out you were right, but fun to discover that everyone who says they are Star Wars fans really don't know much about Star Wars. I'm up to question 42 here and host this trivia challenge on several Star Wars dedicated forums and it amazes me just how little people know about the movies! Even I find some questions hard! But I love learning new stuff and sharing the knowledge. I hope everyone is enjoying these trivia questions! Sta tuned for next week's question and may the force be with you... always! :)

Jar Jar's Big Adventure - Due to much of the animosity aimed towards Jar-Jar Binks in Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (1999), the working title of Episode II was "Jar-Jar's Big Adventure".

So without further ado... Question 44: How is George Lucas said to have given R2-D2 his name?Answer:
The name R2-D2 originated from Walter Murch, the cutter of Lucas' second movie American Graffiti. When cutting the movie together with Lucas, Walter Murch asked for "R2, D2" --meaning "Reel 2, Dialog 2".

Hey another one I might know. I think it was as George was editing a movie and asked for reel 2 and dialogue 2 R2D2 for short, he liked it, and wrote it down and used it in Star Wars.

Morning all you happy rebels out there... it's Monday and you all know what that means... a new trivia question... that's right! Well... this week is all about a very special day! One that only comes once a year and is a rite of passage for any Star Wars fan to sit thru and watch... so... you all know the rules... no googling before answering... no cheating... just answer from your general Star Wars knowledge... Question 49: In the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special; Why are Chewbacca and Han Solo trying to get home to Chewbacca's Family?Answer:
Life Day - The Star Wars Holiday Special consisted of a frame story in which Han and Chewbacca must prevent Darth Vader from spoiling Life Day, and get home to be with Chewbacca's family. It aired only once and has become a rite of passage for any true Star Wars fan. Following the unprecedented success of George Lucas' original Star Wars movie, Lucasfilm wanted to release a special set in between the events of A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, so the studio released the Star Wars Holiday Special in 1978. That would go on to be their biggest mistake. The TV special was never rebroadcast, nor is there any known copy of it in existence (other than the handful of VHS recordings). Aside from the negative reception, the special introduced Chewie's homeworld of Kashyyyk, where the main cast was visiting to celebrate the time-honored holiday, Life Day, which occurs once every three years. It had special guest stars Art Carney, Beau Authur, and Harvey Corman!

Let's see who get's this one right... remember the rules... no googling for the answer... just use your basic knowledge... This is the 50th question, so I hope you all have been learning something along the way... let's get on with it shall we? Question 50: Who was the X-wing Red Leader during the Battle of Endor?Answer:
Wedge Antilles - As we see in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, the Rebel Alliance consists of former smugglers, mercenaries, and even former Imperials. Wedge Antilles was one of the latter. We see Wedge defect from the Empire in a season three episode of Star Wars Rebels, in the middle of his training to become a TIE Fighter pilot. Even he never completed his training, he must have learned something, because he ended up becoming a prominent member of the Alliance's starfighter fleet. He first appears under the callsign Red Two in A New Hope, but by the time Return of the Jedi rolls around, he's leading Red Squadron in the attack on the Second Death Star.

Greetings fellow fans... it's Monday and we all know what that means... a brand new question of the week... seeing as last week was so easy, I figured I would make you all work for it this week. Remember... no cheating by using google or any internet device like Alexia, Siri or the like... I'm gonna make you all go back and watch the movie this week to get your answer... so... here we go! Question 51: How long is Darth Vader on screen for in A New Hope?Answer:
12 minutes - When people think of Star Wars villains, they immediately think about Darth Vader. He is continually voted as one of the best villains in film history, and his presence outside of the original trilogy -- including in video games, television shows, and spin-off movies -- still resonates with audiences. Though Grand Moff Tarkin was calling most of the shots in A New Hope, Darth Vader is arguably the main villain. But here's the thing: he's only in the movie for 12 minutes. Comparatively, Jared Leto has almost 15 minutes of screentime as the Joker in Suicide Squad.
