I think that is a fantastic idea but crafted in metal; maybe acquire some of the scrap to make it a truely authentic build. ArtfulBodger Previous Build: HMS. Bounty

metal would be good aswell but the size would have to be limited due to the weight of it after completed, Brian

Airfix do a 1/350 scale Illustrious if anyone's interested in converting her to Ark Royal. Personally speaking, I don't know the difference between the two. Dave H
Current builds :- Hachette 1/16 Tiger Tank H.M.S Victory, Santisima Trinidad (Section), 1/8 scale Aston Martin DB5, 1/8 scale McLaren, YNWA

Artfulbodger has a great idea. Imagine it, a model with actual metal from the Ark Royal ( possibly with a certificate of authenticity ). That would be an essential to any model maker, regardless of the scale

If they did a part work at 1/72 scale it would be 2936mm long and a max width of 486mm. At that size i would need to build it in the garden cause thats where the miss would put me out to if i did it, along with my clothes, bags, victory and the rest of my worldly possesions . But it would be a fantastic build. Builds in progress: HMS Victory.HMS Surprise. Completed builds: Revell London Bus 1/24. Builds to do:Sovereign of the seas, Hms Albion.
