Yes, it's a bit of a slow job but thankfully not every inch of the U-boat has rivets. Just the bow and stern have concentrated areas of riveting. Good Evening from 'The Dockyard'. This weeks update of my U230 U-boat build continues with riveting the bow section and marking out in pencil further rivet lines and weld lines. The attached photo shows the horizontal rivet pattern around the torpedo bow caps. That's it for this week's update. I've got to say the marking out took longer than anticipated but it makes it so much easier when applying the rivet strips. Next week i'll be completing the bow section rivet and weld lines; from then on the casing is riveted while the saddle tanks are left as whole sections, broken up by further weld lines. The last section is the stern and this receives extensive treatment similar to the bow.  All this will take another 3-4 weeks as i'm on holiday the week after next!!
