Stage 51 Mounting the Shocks

Been having some issues with the springs

Trying to hold the springs compressed whilst attaching the stoppers. Its nearly there then then it isn,t

My thoughts went back to the days of kerbside motors and replacing the shocks on my Mk 1 Escort. Spring compressors where the order of the day.

So Try this :-

Compress the spring in a vice
Tie up with string - Do both sides to give an even shape
Place the compressed spring onto the shock and attached the stopper
Cut the string to release the spring
Job done

repeat for the other shocks

Love it!! It's been a two man job for me up until now, could probably do similar with a G-clamp if you don't have a vice.
