Oooh!! I live less than a half hour drive from Bewl Water where the test will take place and about the same from Filching Manor where the K3 was restored. There is a motor museum there which I visited some years ago and remember seeing the K3 in the early stages of restoration.

I must ring the museum and find out what date the test will be. Thanks for posting this Alan! Drool Cool ThumpUp

That is going to be a stunning sight to see.Blink Blink

Gives me a thought though. (Yes I do have them, just takes a while to get over the headache LOL )

That would make a great large scale RC kit to build.Drool Drool

K3 model kits are few and far between and the Touchwood kit is no longer avail... http://www.touchwoodmode...models/bluebird-k3.html

But there are a few R/C Bluebird K7 kits out there, the one in this link is powered by a ducted fan unit...
http://www.sportsmoto.co...ird-K7-Model-Boats.html

And Speedline have a couple of K7 kit versions and also the Bluebird car., the 1/8th K7 is designed for a jet turbine power unit Drool

Lots of K7 model info here: http://www.bluebird-elec..._Water_Speed_Record.htm
