The parts are all painted for the 4 main support towers. These hold the rocket in place and they tilt back as the rocket lifts off.The next step is to assemble all of the parts for each tower. darbyvet attached the following image(s):

thanks everyone for your kind words. So after 3 hours of wearing my magnifying visor and bending very delicate etched parts I completed one of the 4 towers and made a good start on the other 3. These parts are actually quite small.I put a quarter on the base for size comparison (for UK members a quarter is about the size on a 10 pence coin). darbyvet attached the following image(s):

Thanks everyone More work on the service towers. These 2 towers supply the umbilicals to the rocket. The larger tower has a bunch of pipes to be added to it once it is painted. The photoetch parts were a pain to end because they are quite long, but once I soldered them they are pretty strong. next step is to paint and add the umbilicals. darbyvet attached the following image(s):

You are doing an amazing job Carl i no what you mean about the etch longer + more fiddly and easier to distort looks great though regards Phil COMING SOON =1/72 Italeri diorama`s Battle for the Reichstag and Stalingrad battle at the tractor factory 1/16 Trumpeter King Tiger with loads of extras ON THE GO= refurbishment of 1/25 Tamiya tiger 1 , amt Star trek kits and space 1999 models

Thanks guys, I got the hazard decals printed and applied to the base.I added a bit of weathering to the sides of the base. The next step is to add the support arms that sit inside the base and then add the support towers for the first stage that are already finished. darbyvet attached the following image(s):
