Just a thought going through Tomicks build diary, How do you glaze the bottom row of windows when it is already below a deck and now planked?

I only ask as I am on issue 34 and it helps to read ahead with the build and maybe I'm being thick or something but I cant see a way of being able to glaze the bottom row of windows unless its done from outside, That wont look to good.
Present Build:

H.M.S. Victory
H.M. Bark Endeavour

Hi Tomick,

Do you know how the build will progress in terms of the upper deck and therefore the middle gallery deck? I can't figure out what the cut-out is for in the middle of the middle deck frame.

Also, the small beam kind of peice that is fitted above the middle windows - is that for the next deck? And if so, will the next deck planking run the entire length of the ship (including the gallery?)

Cheers,
Tom

Our build differs from that of the normal AL kit, at this point the cut-out to the stern deck area appears to serve no purpose other than being a means for extraction of the companionway stairs should either be dropped into the middle deck area when being located, though later on something may well be planned for this area.

The beam that fits acros the inside of the gallery panel is a strengthening sbeam that also holds the slight curve of the panel.

A quick question regarding this topic, as I'm quite far behind (I've only just started assembling the internal keel and ribs) would it look odd if I glued the acetate sheet behind the gallery frames before I attach them to the main hull?

It might, the gallery acetate/windows from the outside will be framed, and therefore if you locate the acetate from the inside you'll end up with a double thickness of window frame which will make the windows appear deep set if that makes sense.
