The new stuff is ok, and I did watch a big chunk of series 1 but unfortunately I'm one of those who grew up with puppets and strings.
The new one is YEARS better than the abomination that was the Frakes movie but give me old stuff any day. Hence, the part work kit.
DeAgostini COULD have gone with the new TB2 which very likely would have pulled in a lot of younger people - "Mummy, mummy, PLEEEEZE can I have it...?" They stuck with the BEST one.
I'll watch the new series but I'm waiting for the three new episodes of Thunderbirds 1965 (Kickstarter) to hit the tv screens...
However, a BIG pat on the back to Weta et al for bringing TB's into the limelight once again.
I just wish a BIG 'decent' cinema movie would be made. It's a Star Wars - Star Trek - Die Hard - Lethal Weapon - Mission Impossible kind of movie just screaming to be made.

Think that in most people minds there is only one Thunderbirds 2.
I notice that the on Thunderbirds Day (30th September) and in the October half term, visitors to Emirates Air Line cable car in east London will get the chance to meet Virgil, and have the opportunity to bag one of the exclusive giveaways and mementoes. - how much on eBay
The activity will run from Friday 22nd September to Sunday 29th October offering families and visitors the chance to travel through the Tracy Island themed cable car terminal featuring large models of Thunderbird 1 and Thunderbird 2, and take off in one of the themed cabins amidst the palm trees to the iconic 5-4-3-2-1 countdown. The cable car terminals and all the cabins will be fitted with plenty of selfie opportunities for all the family to enjoy
