For those of you interested in such things, I can recommend this YouTube movie. It's a good movie concerning the building and subsequently battle between the US Civil War ironclads Merrimac and Monitor. Very realistic, and tends to send shivers up the spine when the Confederate ironclad is seen approaching the anchored Union frigates...

Thanks for posting this video link Tomic...I found it very interesting indeed. I read somewhere that they had found the wreck of the Monitor some years back and were going to attempt to salvage it?? But that was the last I heard??

I've actually got a VHS (ahem) copy of this one given to me by a mate who worked in Saudi for a while years back. After a while you don't notice the arabic subtitles!!Blushing
