Very sad day for Monarch, it's staff and it's yet to travel passengers....110,000 customers to be flown home in biggest ever operation of its kind in peacetime...

Even at this stage there are already reports of other airlines getting ready to jump on Monarch assets.

Ryanair poised to take on Monarch`s pilots.
British Airways looking into buying assets.
