Hey all. Decided to take the plunge on the R2 build.I have a little niece who was just born and I figure by the time R2 is built she'll be old enough to be just his size for Princess Leah. Hope to meet some cool people and get started on this build soon. Building: R2D2

Kind of an odd question but is there a general time frame from when someone get's their order confirmation to when the fist pack is shipped out? Also I'm trying to decide if I should just take pics or do a video series, there are already a lot of Youtubers doing the build and my videos might get swept away. And since I've got some time, I decided to whip up something that might end up going into my build videos. https://youtu.be/lYXHzRnKFxoBuilding: R2D2

I can't say for certian on the R2 kit but usually what happens is that they have a specific day of the week that they ship the kit out. For my Falcon it is always Thursday, for my Mustang it's always Monday. Son whatever day they ship your R2 kit it will always be the first one right after your get payment confirmation. Note this is just my personal experience. DeAgostini kit builds:

Well I guess that answers that question. Called yesterday to ask what day of the week everything ships and it had just left the warehouse. So Tuesday it seems. And it's arriving today. So final question on this thread, is it time to just hop into the build diary section and start one off. Is there a way they are supposed to go or certain info people want to see? There seem to be a lot of them so I'm not sure how mine will stand out but it should be fun. Building: R2D2

Yes you can start a build diary whenever you want.Feel free to post whatever you want in the build diary regarding your build. Some people put every step in, others just do a summary of the parts they got and some do some extra detailing and modifications. Its all up to you.Just have fun!!
