Seems a bit ridiculous to me but to each his own. I personally haven't watched anything beyond the teaser and have read nothing. I have gotten a few tiny spoiler for the toy aisles but nothing major.

Really looking forward to it.

Camped out on the Cineworld site all night SleepDroolSleepDroolSleep waiting for the booking button to appear ...

Two tickets for the 00:01 showing on 14th December booked and in hand ... WootWootWoot

I was a very excited ten year old queuing with what felt like five hundred other people for three hours in the street outside the Odeon in Chester in March 1978 to see the original epic. I always remembered it as being the Easter bank holiday weekend which on recent digging around fits in with the seemingly eternity like slow wave of release dates across the UK. Huh

It had been a very long ten months since May 77 with all the hype from the US filtering through and UK venues and tickets as scarce as rocking horse droppings for months when it did eventually get released here.

I'd been nagging my dad about going to see it since seeing that very first trailer with Luke in his X-Wing and TIE fighters all over the place during a summer showing of The Shaggy DA in Scarborough the year before Blink

All I can say forty years on is that there are couple of things you can really thank modern progress for. Simultaneous global release dates and online booking systems.

One of the benefits of living in a small town is that I am pretty sure I will be able to just walk in on the release date and get a ticket.I dont remember a theater ever being full where I live.
