thanks for the comments everybody.

On with the 2nd wing tonight which will finish up the airframe.

I think things will slow down then as I will have to figure out how I am going to attach all the sections together and start fitting all the stringers.

couldn't help have a bit play and put all the sections together.

doing so has revealed a miss alignment in the centre section which needs sorting out before I go any further.

as the alignment is too large to sand from one end I will align the centre point and take a small amount of material from each end.

I have also bought the haynes manual for the DC3, going through the manual I am now thinking do I build the model as per the instructions as a streamline sleek icon or do I add details such as the small moving sections in the rudder and elevator and the inspections hatches.

Wow,BigGrin

This brings back memories.

Cool Love Cool

Misalignment issue is easily corrected as you say, just adjust carefully a bit at a time and all should be fine.

Might need a bigger work table soon. LOL LOL LOL

Keep up the good work

Thanks for the comments

Bigger desk is currently in design lol along with more hobbyzone modules to keep it all tidy.

Just noticed my monitors could seem a bit dodgy, it was just Salam I was watching lol.

I get through loads of tv shows as i always have something on when modelling

progress is slowing right down at the moment as I do research and decide what I want to do with the model.

one thing is to replace the wing tip lights with something a bit more accurate.

I have had a bit play and come up with this.

Like the way you`re looking at this one. Cool

Have attached a couple of pics that may help. (A military version, though I should think the nav lights should be the same.

Happy building

Looking good Barry, like your attention to detail on the wingtip lights, I'm sure that'll work very well and nice work on the straightening of the fuselage.

Well done, excellent work all round! Cool ThumpUp
