This is Eagle Prime, America's entrant into the Giant Robot Duel, in its first-ever live-fire combat trial.
Eagle Prime is the first MK3-class MegaBot from MegaBots, Inc. It weighs in at 12 tons, stands 16ft tall, seats two, is powered by a 430 horsepower V8 engine and costs a cool $2.5m.

The fight should be soon. Both robots are at the venue and they are prepping for the battle. Japan still hasn't publicly revealed their newest version of the Kuratas. Would love for someone to make model kits of these two beasts. DeAgostini kit builds:

Let me clear up a few details. While the battle will be "live streamed" the footage is pre-recorded. The battle already happened. The Kuratas shown in the article is the MK1. The MK2 Kuratas is the red one shown in the fight posters. So far that is the only image we have and the upgraded specs haven't been released. We won't know more until tonight when the fight broadcasts. There are future plans. They will be revealed after the fight had broadcast. Not sure if directly after or at a later time. So an update on this. The fight has already happened of course. They fought three rounds. Japan won first round against Iron Glory, the Mk2 mech. America won the next two fights with Eagle Prime. The fight can be watched on twitch, YouTube and Twitter. Megabots has now started streaming on twitch quite regularly. Everything from equipment testing to vs battes between Iron Glory and Eagle Prime. Most recently to test R/C piloting and a new “pike/spear” type weapon. It’s defiantly worth checking out and keeping up with them on twitch. DeAgostini kit builds:
