The round opening for for mast on fore gun deck is partially blocked by the underlying beam on form 2 on which it sits. Is the partial obstructiion by the underlying beam to be removed with a file via the opening (5J).

Instructions page 30 in pack 2 tells you to clear the hole using a file. Hope that helps. Happy Modelling

Tony: Thanks for the reply. That means that the underlying beam that is glued to and supports that deck will essentially be severed by removing it with a file.

The beam is glued to the deck you fit on top but yes you are right in that when you get to this stage the beam is almost cut through. I am still to glue in my top decks but looking at mine it appears over half of the beams width will be filed away. Happy Modelling

Hi m0325 Its perfectly ok to file through the beam as it was there to support the deck panel as the glue was drying. The deck has plenty of support from the other beams added on either side. Hope this helps. Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .
