Tail Panel

Tail Panel
2.3x3mm screws
Right Trunk Lid Hinge
2.3x4mm screws
Left Trunk Lid Hinge
Hinge Brackets

Place the body upside down and insert the post on the tail panel into the corresponding holes in the rear of the body. Before continuing, make sure that the panel is placed correctly on the body.

Half-tighten two 2.3 x 3mm screws into the holes so that they hold the panel to the body. Fit another four 2.3 x 3mm screws into the holes, then go back and tighten the first two to secure the tail panel to the body, then tighten the rest.

Retrieve the trunk lid and place it upside down. Align the two holes in the right trunk lid hinge with those in the trunk lid. Secure the right trunck lid hinge to the trunk lid with two 2.3 x 4mm screws. Repeat the same process with the left hinge, at the other side of the trunk lid.

Insert the assembled trunk lid through the space at the rear of the body. Insert the pivot end of the left hinge into the housing on the body.

Position one of the hinge brackets over the hinge pivot and locating pin on the body, then secure with a 2.3 x 4mm screw. Repeat the same process with the right hinge and the remaining bracket. Then secure the bracket with a 2.3 x 4mm screw.

Turn the body over and make sure the trunk lid opens and closes without obstruction.

Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in an issue labelled bag.

Tank Cap & Tail Lights

Wiring Tabs A, B & C

Place the body assembly upside down. Fit the three posts on the fuel hose support into the three holes in the body.

Secure the fuel hose support form the outside of the body with a 1.8 x 4mm screw.

Secure the tank cap hinge to the fuel tank cap and the fuel tank cap base with two 1.2 x 2mm screws.

Close the cap and position it in its seat at the rear of the body. Hold the cap in place and fix it with two 1.2 x 3mm screws.

Now take the right tail light, identified by the letter R on the inside, and insert the two posts into the two holes in the body. Press the part to fit it snugly.

Take the right tail light LEDs, cable number 10, and align the four LEDs into the four correspoinding holes in the rear of the body. Gently press the part into place. The two posts should protrude slightly through the LED plate. Position the cable around the post at the side.

To fix the LEDs in place, position the right LED cover over the board, and secure it with two 2.3 x 4mm screws

Repeat the previous steps to fit the left tail light to the rear body, then mount the left tail light LEDs on the inside of the body. Finally, secure the left LED cover over the board with two 2.3 x 4mm screws.

Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in an issue labelled bag.

Windscreen and Tail Light Wiring

Windscreen

You will need the tabs from the previous stage. Place the right tail light wire to the side of the post at the rear of the underside of the body, then down as you route the wire to the front, and fix to the body with one of the A wiring tabs.

Pass the wire forward, along the wheel arch and secure with one of C tabs, then continue forward.

Position the wiring along the bottom of the door opening and then secure to the body, with a B tab. Secure the wire at the front of the door opening with another B tab.

Secure the left tail light cable in the same way as the right, using tabs A and C. Use the remaining two B tabs to secure the cable to the bottom of the door opening.

Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in an issue labelled bag.

Windscreen Frame and Windscreen Wipers

Windscreen Frame
Right-Hand Wiper
Left-Hand Wiper

Retrieve the windscreen supplied with the previous stage, and hold it in front of the opening in the body where it will be fitted. Place the windscreen into the opening and make sure it is seated properly there.

Take the windscreen frame and locate the tabs, which will fix it to the body.

Insert the lower tabs of the frame into the corresponding holes. Gently push the tabs into the holes.

Then insert the top tabs into the upper holes of the body. Gently press the top three tabs into the holes to secure the frame.

Issue complete, carefully store any remaining parts in an issue labelled bag.
