Finally had my payment processed only yesterday (Victory & tiles), and already on my 3rd question, sorry for that. I know, as my English cousins might say, (I do have many around Cheshire), it's early days for me, but would like to get this off my mind.
Can't underestimate the importance of a case for such a model, and wonder if anyone has any updated ideas? For my Mamoli Constitution, I found a 42 in. frame on Amazon, then 5 pieces of 1/4 plexiglass (and cut precisely!) from Ebay, totaling around only $320. Problem is nothing larger than that, unless you pay a kings ransom for a custom built one!
Any clues REALLY appreciated! (And its gonna be very interesting when my wifeMad finds there's another one coming).

I use Grandpascabinets.He is very friendly and his prices are very reasonable. I bought 2 for my Deagostini 1/8 cars and they look great.He does make lots of different kinds of cases and will help you figure out the best one.His packaging is also excellent.

Thanks for the tip, Darby, however he can't do it, says it's too large, and even in kit form too large to ship (I don't get that part)
Guess I'll have to go with plan B- build one myself.

Yeah he packages them really well with tons of foam so it would be a huge package.

If you can build a wooden ship model you can build a case I am sure.Lowes sells plexiglass and other acrylic sheets

O.k., Carl, this looks quite doable and reasonably cheap;

(Retired from the sign business, so I can get plexiglass wholesale, but cutting precise cuts is another story, a glass shop would be the best option).
Anyway, of course lots of time before this, but I just like to know where I'm going.
Thanks

Bruce
