My model table has been updated by Tamiya, the Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin on a 1/6 scale.
After opening the large box inside, we find an incredible number of parts from which I will build this wonderful machine.
See what the box contains.

I built a cylinder block engine.
I sprayed the whole glossy black base and, after perfect drying, polished and sprayed with Alclad II.

A little progress on the engine. The engine is in basic colors, waiting for it with a patina and some shadows.

The frame and the fork are glued, molded and completely finished in color and matt varnish.

Further progress in construction. Here is my weekend endeavor.
The engine unit including fuel injection is completed with the frame.

I like the way you get your paint looking so factory applied - really smooth and on just the parts it needs to be.

You must have a very steady hand to be able to achieve such a lovely finish.
Happy Modelling

We are continuing the construction. The rear shock absorber, the main stand and the rear fender are in place.

The wheels are finished and I have to say that it is worth the effort. The construction of these two wheels took two days and mainly a lot of nerves and energy. It's a test of calm hands and balance sheets. As a bonus when I dry the colors I added the rear fender for light and reflector.

Yesterday, the tuning set of the Honda CRF 1000L Africa Twin arrived home. I have to say it will be nice when it is folded.
