I don't think ranks are necessary, and on occasions they cause more problems than needed, at the end of the day, were all the same, a rank means nothing, it certainly doesn't mean those with high ranks are better than those with low ones, it just means you post more, so why not use stars etc, the more you post the more stars you get so to speak. Reputation system would be better, your peers rate you on the information you provide, but then again, I have seen this type os system abused on other forums. Hi sorry - we introduced a new ranking system on Friday and it went horribly wrong from a technical point of view. The rankings were not calculating properly.
We have therefore just put up numbers as a temporary measure whilst the techies try to sort it out.
