25/06/2017 good progress today 😀 because the bottom of the hull requires different technique. Three complete rows fitted all around the hull. So far the planks were bent (then wait to dry to shape) and then sanded to fit. But now because it's given that how many row have to fit into the gap they are sanded to size and then bent. Also this part doesn't require so big bends (hull becomes flat) hence soaking/bending also quicker, and the planks will dry after they glued/nailed into final position. Countdown started: 7 rows left. gingerale75 attached the following image(s): Happy building! Laszlo Finished builds: HMS Victory, HMS Victory Cross-Section

26/06/2017 one and a half row fitted... slowed down again due to into the thin section of the false keel at the stern no pins can be fitted to hold the planks in place to dry. Clamp placed to make sure the planks dry properly to the keel. This avoids to fit another row. Will continue tomorrow. gingerale75 attached the following image(s): Happy building! There are 94 of them... 94!!! 😳😱 Plus the two entry ports. The entry ports on both sides and 10 gun ports on one side lined. 09/07/2017 After further five hours of sanding (five yesterday) the entire hull now smooth like a baby's butt... 😆 I had to hold the sand paper so long that my fingerprints disappeared. I can't unlock my phone only if I type the passcode... :D:D:D Tomorrow the ship will be taken to my workplace to blow out the sawdust from the inside with an air gun 😳💨 gingerale75 attached the following image(s): Happy building!
