Yestrday i continued with the suspension.

To have the right height i need to cut the absorber. On the front axle i did the notching to the chassis (as like on my real GTI).
Watching the asbsorber i deciced to remove the spring. I try to self made the air bags of airride system. I'll take a Delta issue with fire extinguisher to use the tank for airride system: in my mind is to place the future tank in the trunk.

This week I'l cut the asborber and i'll paint in yellow like mine of my G.A.S. airride system.

I found also a self adhesive balck felt to cover the foot floor nad the trunk.

Upholstery first step: Done!

I covered the floor matt and the under piece of central tunnel.

The next parts to trim are the rear seat base, the trunk and the trunk cover.

I placed the seat to see the global view.

With alu i'll try to sel made the brackets for seat.

This past weekend I was home to play with my daughter and while she slept or watched Peppa Pig and Masha & Bear I managed to go with the GTI.

I painted with xf16 the tank bands, a wash in black and then I fitted on chassis.

I started filling the tunnel junction lines, in the week after painting it, I should start with the template for the carbon.

I painted the handbrake in matt black and I painted the button in red as on the 20years edition. The shift lever needed some care: I painted the gear knob in x11 and gave a hand of black semigloss to try to simulate the leather.

Looking at the belt clips I noticed another difference with the original model: on golf 1, 2 and 3 the clip buttons are orange and not red .... I corrected them.

I painted the reinforcements on the front structs. A little black wash and finally I fitted the front bar.

On Saturday morning before I worked on the shock absorbers.
Shortened, refined and threaded.
I found some o-ring that could do my job to simulate the airride bags.
Test dry and finally painted in yellow.

Last night I finally fitted all and with the o-rings in place of the springs seems like a fully airride down.
The only work that was a bit difficult was the link of the steering bar. From box was straight, I folded it a little at a time to get the new angle due to the lowering and I also gave the right bend to the steering heads connected to the hubs. Try it all and work perfectly.

While the stabilizer bar dries (I made it red like Wiechers) I gave a bit of detail to the rims coloring the 80 bolts and the 16 bolts of the hub in gun metal.

Thanks everybody for your comments mates.

In the past week I completed the carbon work on tunnel, it seems quite good.

With tamiya braided hose i made the new front brake lines
I also added new heatshield on exhaust line. In the future I'll made the final heatshield on the final silencer, but 'll wait the bodywork before to do this. I'n my project is to made a new single tailpipe like Bastuck Exhaust.

The last work is to trim the trunk, but i'll wait to fit on chassis because i'll do the airride system inside the trunk.
