Derek you have to decide if you want to display the towers folded down or up.The 2 main towers are pretty heavy and the joints are resin so they will fail pretty quickly.

I attached the actuators/dampeners to the rest of the towers and whilst I am waiting for them to dry and do some final touch ups I have started making a plaque

I 3d printed a base.The kit provides a photetched plaque which I will mount on the base.

The model is finished.I glued the photoetched plague onto the base and painted it.

here are the finished pictures.It was a fun kit to build with lots of fine detail.A lot of it was pretty fiddly, but I am glad I decided to solder the larger parts because it is quite delicate once finished.

Best of luck to all the entrants for the 2017 build of the year competition.

I will post pics in the finished build gallery too.

next year I will be building Randy Coopers MLEV Mars rover superdetailed with interior and exterior lighting.
