could anyone say were is the best site to get tools from and the cheapest but good
i would like to get some new ones for this build

Hi bantam!  There is no one site that sells all the tools at the cheapest prices, a lot will depend on what you want to get e.g. electric plank bender, mini hand tools, mini power tools. What is it you would like to get? So many tools to choose from! we need more infomation on your needs mate.

i need almost every thing now for this build,
clamps,vice,glue,saws .ive been sick and now disabled so i cant get out to get them will have to get them online i have done this years ago but had to stop i am now starting again so i need all my tool again,so any tools that you think i will need to build this ship will help me out thanks

Hi bantam! So you need a lot! then let see what I can do! For basic tools, glue try:- http://www.toolstation.comOrders over £10 delivered FREE! If you would like an electric plank bender then get a '40w soldering iron' £5.70 from this site with other tools then get an 'Resistor Head for Electric Plank Bender' that fits in place of the soldering iron tip from Cornwall Model Boats £9.36 much cheaper than paying £36.28 for the kit you would need to make a metal stand and a wooden block with some curves:- http://www.cornwallmodel...alog/plank_benders.html
You can find other mini tools at this site. I mainly use the electric plank bender, a small craft hammer, a good quality Archimedes drill & drills, mini files riffler files, jewellery pliers and wire cutters, razor saw and lots of sand paper. Some power tools that I use(bandsaw, drill press and lathe these power tools are not needed by most builders) Also try ebay:- http://www.ebay.co.uk

Draper does the perfect models tool kit with most of the tools you'll require in terms of cutting equipment. Draper Modellers Tool Kit Click HereI have it and it's excellent. Has scalpel and lots of blades of various types (all of the strong variety - not those that the tips break) and seem to stay sharp as well as I have completely planked my hull and still have not yet had to change the blade!!! Razor Saw and mitre block is in there, along with sanding block and much more. I couldn't recommend this saw enough!!!

I have recommended a tool kit on numerous occations so I'll just put up the must have tools,stanley knife,craft knife,all metal,various blades for both,a amati master cutter,razor saw and mitre block(aluminium type,) aliphatic glue,superglue(gel)perma-grit sanding block,perma grit small set of files,pin hammer,side cutters,nose pliers,vice,and pin vice,several sheets of various grades of sand paper,set of modeling paint brushes,victory colours paints set,mini drill_draper etc.first aid box and a large box of sticking plasters,think that will do for now,btw you will need a fairly large bank account,and welcome to the world of model making.and welcome aboard. Can I second Karl's list but emphasise the 'perma grit small set of files'. Needle filesEver since these were recommended to me by Tomick, I have found that they are invaluable for shaping and finishing wooden components. Instead of using countless bits of sand paper, out come the files! Still need sand paper for final finishing but not so much! Mike T
