week 44
Here we install the final parts of the landing ear mechanims.This is a very clever design.There are geared strips attached to each leg which is actually a flexible tube.The gear strips are laid into the black channels.The re is a gear in the center of the channel that meshes with the gear strips so as the gear turns the strips push the flexible tube through the hole in the frame and extends the legs.There are sensors that detect when the legs are fully extended and retracted.

I received the balance of my Tb2 parts for the regular build from Hobby link Japan so I can now finish my Tb2.HLJ is offering the extra 15 weeks to make an additional POD and some more vehicles too.

The studio scale version are made by a UK company called UNCL models.They are resin kits and do require some work to assemble like most resin kits.I got mine from timelesshobbies.

I did do a build diary for the recover vehicle and will be doing the Thunderizer next year.
