Can you believe this.  The Highways Agency Uk have blamed the lack of cars on the roads for the poor road conditions in this snowy period. You get every agency (police included) telling you not to travel unless essential and the Highways Agency saying they need the cars to spread the salt effectively. Perhaps if they had salted the roads sufficiently, "prior" to the snow fall in the east midlands(where I live for example), it may have been better.
