Build your favourite RAF aircraft of the century (1918-2018)

Your build diary can be of any aircraft operated by the RAF, Bomber, Fighter, Helicopter, Transport or Trainer etc - Any scale, 1/144, 1/72, 1/32, 1/24 etc.

Prizes for winner and runner up - a model kit of your choice up to a value £100 for the winner and £75 for the runner up.

Build start is from the 1st Jan 2018 - your build must be complete and it be posted into the finished build gallery no later than the 1st August 2018.

RAF100 Rules:

1. All builds must have a build diary posted exclusively on ModelSpace, (or associated MS forum such as ModelSpace Germany). Entries must not be shared elsewhere during or after the competition end., Failure to observe this rule will result in the entry being void and the member excluded from the competition.

2. Strictly one Entry per person/member (family votes are not permitted).

3. Your entry must be nominated as "RAF100 Build Entry" within the text content of your first post (not in the post title). No build nomination = void entry!

4. All entries should be posted into the relevant build diary sections of the UK forum. Once you announce your build is complete, it should be posted into the Finished Builds Gallery

5. If you choose to enter, you are obliged to place a vote for one of the entries (not your own).

6. Goading of members to vote for a particular entry will not be tolerated. The post will be removed and you will lose your chance to vote.

7. You can add your aircraft into a diorama display is you wish - Each element of the display must be within the same build topic.

8. Once your build has been started, the subject cannot then be changed.

9. Voting will take place across the 2nd - 8th August 2018 - the two RAF100 entries which receive the most member votes by 5pm GMT on the 8th Aug will be deemed Winner and Runner-up. In the event of a tie, Admin will choose the winner.

10. Note - This competition is only open to the following regions: United Kingdom, USA, Germany & Northern Ireland.

The winner and runner-up will be announced on the 9th August 2018.

The Prizes - A model kit of your choice up to a value £100 for the winner and £75 for the runner up (or equivalent currency).

Feel free to announce your entry below and send a PM to me to have your entry added to the entry list...

I'm planning on building the 1/12 Spitfire kit for my BOTY 2018, could I enter it in this competition as well or would I need a separate entry?

Somethings been niggling on my mind today about the Swordfish. So dug further into the stash, ventured into the etch collection and came up with the little gem below.

Suffice to say my mind is now made up. The Fairey Swordfish will be go in January. BigGrin

Nice thought, which Tamiya kit version as they have 3 variants, the standard Bomber or the Dambuster or the Grand Slam?
