A strange thing happened to me yesterday, I phoned DE AG customer services with ref to the CUTTY SARK, I was aware I had missed a payment due to change of bank account, and I gave them my new bank details for THE CUTTY SARK, THE VICTORY, and THE McLAREN.

The lady on the phone then said ( and at this point I was gob smacked ) "YOU ARE ALSO BEHIND ON THE TIGER TANK" ( I was going to phone Hachette next ) I said do you handle the Tiger Tank as well she said "yes, and also the Lancaster Bomber" you can imagine my surprise, so I gave her the new bank account for these Partworks as I collect both of these.

I mention all above not to complain but to give information based on my experience, I believe this is a great service for modellers, and when people praise Hachette and Knock De Ag It seams the CS is the same?

Cheers MWG

On occasion partwork companies use the same call centres/fulfillment companies which can vary from series to series.

Thanks for the clarification Mr T,I just thought it was interesting that people were complaining about DeAg and praising companies like Hachette when they could be talking to the same people on the end of the phone, just goes to show its how you talk to people?

Cheers

Hi Shipmates,

It looks like HMS Hood is running now, just checked the site and they are up to issue 9. The problems seem now to have been resolved, unless anyone knows different? Mr T?

I wonder how much interest from us model makers it would take for DeAgostini to have a business case to supply the HMS hood has a internet partwork without the mags?????

Confused Confused

Not looking good, the subscribe link from the HMS Hood page http://www.buildhmshood.com/ now takes you to the Deag shop subscription page & not the Hood subscriprion page. As we know there is no link now on the Deag page.

Must say I am sorely disappointed was looking forward to this build, may have to buy the Trumpeter kit now!

Wilfy

Hi Shipmates,

Just had a look at the Hood site and when you click on the link it takes you to the DeAgostini homepage.
To be fair though, things can go wrong, and it would seem, that what ever the problems are, they are too serious for DeAgostini to overcome for now. Mellow

Hi shipmates,

Previous to my last post I have decided to stick with the DeAgostini build for HMS Hood. Even though the build is cancelled for now, they are doing their best to resolve the problems. After all they just want to make a first rate model, and this is a laudable aim. Who can fault them for that!
Anyway I have decided to stick it out and wait for the model which I always liked the look of. Cool

Here's the question forum, as a self confessed HMS Hood nut I hope you will indulge me:

What improvements do you think should be made to the HMS Hood model before its re-release?

Not sure about the 2nd picture, but the narration does say its HMS Hood.

I have more if your interested:)

You can see why she was so taken by the British public back in the good ole days.
