Superb work Alan, really looking good now. Gives me the inspiration to begin work on my build again. Since my wrist injury, I've had a small bout of depression and the associated lack of confidence to do anything. Watching your work gives me a 'WOW' and makes me want to get back into it. Thanks and happy building David

Thanks for looking in guys, always appreciated.... Made some more progress where we started work on lining and painting the bulwarks and bulkheads around the deck area. First task was to sand smooth the inner bulwarks, this was achieved using a fine nail file. Then fitted 0.5 x 4mm veneer strips, cutting clear the gun ports before giving it all a final sand down with fine grade sanding sticks... Next we masked off the complete deck area, masking the outside of the gun ports to avoid any paint bleed on the outer hull area. Using an airbrush then painted the inner bulwarks red. Lastly, when dry then removed the masking tape and painted the bulkheads flat black, these were painted using a small paint brush..... Next job, the wonderful task of tidying and lining all 30 gun ports, a fun job but has to be done..... .. Until the next update, happy building all.... Tony, Andy, Dave, thanks for looking in, appreciated.... @Andy, shades have been worn since the painting started... .. She does have a rather bright colour scheme compared to what we are used to seeing on vessels of this type but the colour scheme applied is as she is at present..... .. When I first looked at this kit I did think the colour scheme was a little garish however, I find the more I work on her the more the colour scheme actually grows on me and I think she will turn out to be rather attractive in the end..... , or at least I hope so.... Regards Alan

Thanks for looking in guys, appreciated.... The tedious task of lining the 30 gun ports is now complete and brings an end to stage 16. Lining the ports started by painting red a number of wood strips 0.5 x 2mm and leaving them to dry. After tidying up the ports the strips were cut, trimmed and fitted into place. Once complete the ports were then touched up with red paint to get rid of any minor imperfections.... .. Now for stage 17.... Regards Alan Gandale attached the following image(s):
