Can anyone recommend a glue to use for the Falcon Build for US builders?

My choice of glues for plastic on plastic for this are http://www.ebay.com/itm/...9391:g:5x0AAOSwZjJU4j2T
Or http://www.ebay.com/itm/...1fda:g:YNEAAOSwqu9U4N-S
Anything else I use Loctite Power Flex which is a thick gel super glue.

The build instructions specifically recommend Cyanoacrylate glue. AKA Superglue. Pretty much any superglue will work. I use Loctite Super Glue Liquid, though pretty much any "super glue" is chemically the same.

You are correct they do, however the glues I have recommended above are well known Moddelling glues that work extremely well with the plastic parts that are supplied with this kit, in fact these glues will slightly melt the plastic together giving in the long a much stronger and versatile bond. Unlike super glue the join will never get brittle with fluctuating temperatures using these plastic glues

Hi all. This thread hasn't seen anything for a few years, but I've come up with an appropriate question. In the Official Build Diary on YouTube, when gluing a piece done, the fellow only puts a dab if glue in the holes or on the pins. Is this small amount of glue enough to hold the pieces in place? I especially worry about some of the longer pipes which might get snagged during handling of the model.

Depends on the type of glue being used. Using super glue as I have on most of the build, a small amount is all that is needed, less is more and will bond better and faster. Mark

Can anyone help me with instructions on installing the Cock Pit glass? It does not seem to fit very well. Also, Super Glue would be bad. Any suggestions on type of glue to use?

First of all are you using the right glass as the kit comes with 2 nose cones. The modified nose cone came in issue 40 including the glass and the original nose cone in issue 6 and the glass for that was supplied in issue 46. As for glueing it in, you may want to use Humbrol clearfix glue which is specialised for clear plastic parts. I left my glass out as they did with the original prop. Hope that helps. Mark

For everything except the glass, I just used regular superglue from Walmart and only a couple drops each. For the glass I ordered canopy glue from Amazon.

Mark, that helps a lot. I never received the second nose cone or two sets of glass. I bet I have a mismatch of cone to glass. I will have to get in touch with customer service and see if they can help. Otherwise, I am going to leave the glass out. The glass fit so perfectly in the turrets, that this seemed odd that it did not fit in the cock pit.
THANKS!

Hi Tschwand, thanks for the tip on the glue for the glass. I used Gorilla Super glue on the rest with great results. Thanks.
