Good evening from 'The Dockyard'. First off I just want to say a big thank you to everyone on receiving my outstanding build medal earlier this week! Just amazing!  This weeks update of my U230 U-boat build log sees the application of a pin-wash to the hull. I came across a jar of water soluble Tamiya matt black, about a third full, in my spares box. Being as it was quite thick, I diluted it with freshly boiled water and added a drop of washing up liquid to break the surface tension. I tried it on a test area first; the access hatch on the casing. All of this area will eventually be planked in mahogany and painted black, so I wasn't particularly bothered about it running over.
