Hi shipmates,
I have a few questions about my topic subject. I'm interested in buying this model as a filler.
1.) Does "single payment" mean you buy it once of and get the whole build at once? Or just pay once but get it in a few dispatches, or just one?
2.) If I do go for it, do they ship to South Africa, and what is the rough lead time from order to delivery to our post office in Cape Town?
I would like any help I can get for this, it does look like a beautiful model.
Kind regards, Francois

Hi Gan_Javi,
Single payment does indeed mean that you buy the complete kit in one go and not spilt over a number of dispatches.
Unfortunately we do not offer this service outside of the UK at the moment. We are hoping to make these available in SA soon though so keep an eye out.
Thanks Admin

It should work if a friend over in the UK orders it and sends it down to me.
How does the magazine/instructions work?
Is it similar to the Victory's, or more like standard AL (which in even the simplest boats are horrid and hard to figure out on occasion)

Gan you can always buy it elsewhere, and at a cheaper price, but you won't get the model space help and information, I'm sure there are plenty of sources available in S.A. to buy it. Looking at the items I have been sent it looks like model space open up the box and send you the parts from the actual A/L kit. Come on you Jimmies

There are yes, There is a local shop that sells AL products, and for cheaper. The Victory is about 75% of the price there as opposed to my subscription, but the extra money is well worth it for clear instructions. Especially for the rigging. AL use very vague instructions, and terrible pictures, so mostly you have to guess and look at the box cover. I'm all for paying extra if it means I can complete the build better.
How does the instructions work for this build? Do they email you PDFs or something?
That's why I thought I'd have someone in the UK buy it, then post the model parts to me, and mail me the PDFs or something. I'd love to get my hands on this version of the build with nice clear instructions lol - not that good that I know how to build mostly from guessing it out.

This might be a stupid question. Too late for me to think straight :/
What you're saying is that the plans aren't like those of the Victory? It's the plain AL plans? (The view vague and low quality photos)
