BigGrin Hi All

Had this in the stash for a while now and have been preparing it off and on for assembly. The kit has 12 resin parts and 16 metal parts all of which needed a good clean up. I also have the full set of fuselage decals and also will be using Golden acrylics Interference green paint as a final coat.

The model is at the stage where all the fuselage parts have been assembled ready for undercoating and the metal parts are also ready for undercoating.

More soon.

interesting subject.Warp model kits always have a ton of flash on their metal parts in my experience.I built their Eagle transporter and it took hours to clean up the metal spine.

A nice kit! I've always liked all the Babylon 5 ship designs (especially the Narn warships).
I've often wondered if the 'bridge' perched on top of the Whitestar was a separate smaller ship able to fly on its own!Blink

You have made a very nice job of your build Andy.

An unusual kit but you seem to have got the best out of it.
Happy Modelling

BigGrin Hi All

The whitestar has been clear coated and then sprayed over with interference green which has transformed the look going from the blue of the decals through to the interference green depending on the angles of veiwing.

That is gorgeous Andy. The interference green really makes it come alive, and I now really wish I had picked up one of these when I had the chance.

If I ever get my hands on one, I'll be sure to get back to you for some tips.

BigGrin Thanks for looking in and your comments Coser.

I got this one off flea-bay about 2 years ago they still pop up now and again with other Babylon 5 stuff.

The decals are from the US.

I have been told not to touch the 'Spider ship' as all the legs break off very easilyCool

You certainly do some unusal things Andy.

Top job on your build.

Not intended in any way a criticism on your build but if you take this programme and the ship do you think like me it looks like a gecko (lizard)?

I wonder sometimes how these scifi craft designers get their inspiration and when i pulled up your pictures the craft design (not your model) looks so lizard like.

Just thinking about my most favourite ever scifi "space 1999" is it just me or does that Eagle transporter look like a wasp?

I think when we are young we have imagination but as you ageConfused the ability in many of us disappears but these designer chappies seem to retain that ability.

Lovely finish though Andy - full credit to you on this one.
