Hi Everyone,

I saw this one when it came out in the U.K. earlier this year and knew I would have to get it if I ever got a chance. Well, I saw an add for it here in the U.S. a couple of weeks ago and jumped right on it. I received the first two issues with my first shipment. In Issue #1, we get the back end of the DeLorean including a taillight, bumper and the icon " Outatime" license plate. In Issue #2, we get the other taillight and a front fender. There are several different screws for this build, so i got myself an weekly pill container at the Dollar Store to safely store everything. I also picked up some detailing towels to use for this build and for storing completed parts.

The parts seem to be of good quality and the build seems to be pretty straight forward. Not really much to paint or construct on this one, so the build should be fairly easy compared to the Millennium Falcon where I had to paint every part. Here are a few photos of the progress so far.

Another build to watch with interest looks like a great kit not started mine as yet regards Phil

I think as long as you are careful you will be OK. When you put the screws for the wheels eg. Don't take the screw down in one go. Turn it down a couple of turns and reverse back. You will find easier.any problems don't be afraid to ask. There are some clever modellers on here with good advice and will share with you.

I hope you all had a great holiday break. I know I was quite busy and didn't have a lot of time for modeling. Now, with everything getting back to normal, I will try to catch you up with my many builds.

In the second shipment of parts for the DeLorean, we get issues 3-6. Issue 3 has us building our first wheel. The assembly was pretty straight forward. The rim feeds through the tire and the hubcap is secured with 3 screws. The hub and a small washer are then pressed into the center of the hubcap to complete the assembly.

In issues 5 and 6, we get the left and right front suspension and brake. Assembly involves attaching the lower link to the upper suspension, adding the shock absorber and coilspring. The tie head is attached and the disc braked and caliper are assembled. Finally, the brake assembly os attached to the suspension assembly.

In issue 7, we get parts for the steering rack, linkage and front plate. Assembly involves connecting the pinion and pull rod to the steering rack with a couple of screws. The rubber boots are then added on either end to complete the assembly. The first picture shows the parts that come with the issue along with my growing screw collection. The second picture shows the assembled steering rack along with the front plate which will be used in later issues.

In issue 9, we get our second front wheel. Assembly was the same as in issue 3. The picture shows the parts layed out before assembly.

You are certainly cracking on with it. Look great.

In issue 12, we get parts for the left rear hub and suspension. Assembly involves attaching the hub to the hub carrier piece and the track rod. This assembly is then attached to the main frame. The shock absorber and spring is then added. The caliper is added to the disc brake and attached to the hub. The front left track rod is then assembled and stored for safely to be added later on.
