I know that Falcon did a set of 1:48 vac formed canopies under the heading raf part 2 and that included a lanc canopy but seems not to be available now. The Hobby Company ate the UK importers of Tamiya so might be worth dropping them a note to see if they can help with a replacement part. That looks like an interesting kit. I am guessing with the box picture you get the option to have the engine showing? Looks like a nice model to build. Happy Modelling

A nice entry Derek, the Tamiya 1:48 Fairey Swordfish is a fabulous kit and should build into a very fine model. A great choice!

Decisions decisions....thinking of doing one of our old gate guardians, so that’s either a mk16 spitfire, a De Havilland vampire, or a hawker Hunter - have to see what my LMS has in stock tomorrow morning

Be interesting to see what you manage to find in your local shop. Happy Modelling

It`s available in 1:48 which is a nice size and upgrade kits available, but I see your dilema as there`s loads of very nice kits of RAF planes out there. What ever you choose, wish you luck and enjoy. Regards delboy271155 (Derek) COME BACK GUY FAWKES "YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU"

I have tried to resist this but being as aircraft modelling is my favourite genre and this is a very historic year for the RAF, I have found resistance futile. Therefore I will be entering this competition!
Phil (Tigerace) had posted his intention to build the Tamiya 1:48 Lancaster, and which I had also considered prior to his announcement, that I might do the same model build. However, at the risk of two identical builds being in the competition, I would also like to put forward the Tamiya Lancaster as my entry.
Therefore my build entry will be of the Tamiya 1:48 Lancaster B Mk.I/III and to which I will be adding the Eduard 'Big Ed' full set of PE parts for the kit. I will likely also be adding a few other aftermarket bits along the way.
