Hi all,
I have decided to build the model with the cutaway. For more authenticity I have been thinking of planing ALL the decks on the lower levels too. I have put in an order for the 0.6mm planks from my local hobby shop.
I was just wondering. Is there ANYTHING that goes into the lower decks that reaches the floor and the roof, or won't that extra 0.6-1mm be a big issue?
Regards, Francois

Regards, Francois Hello Francois, Read your post with interest, the only thing that can cause a problem is the internal fittings showing the gun crews as shown in the cutaway illustration. If possible sand the lower deck boards back by one ply to reduce the thickness, any loss of strengh will be replaced by the additional planking. I hope this is of some help to you and look forward to seeing your build diary. Happy building. CMB
