This is my Build Entry for the RAF 100 Competition
I am building the Tamiya 1:48 Lancaster B Mk.I/III (kit #61112). I will be using the Eduard 'Big Ed' full PE set to add more detail and will be adding a few more aftermarket bits and pieces along the way. If I have time towards the end I will place the model on a simple airfield base but only if I have time.
Kit contents, PE sets, aftermarket details and reference literature are shown below. More to add yet!

Thanks for your comments Mark and CB, very much appreciated. Yes indeed, one of the most iconic aircraft ever to have served with the RAF and should be a fun build!

My Lancaster kit has arrived today (she's a bigun'!!) and the aftermarket bits arrived yesterday, so it looks like I am prepared for take off! A couple more aftermarket bits are on order along with some reference material but I can start without them.
Will post up some photos of everything tomorrow at some point and make a start on the build in the morning. Looking forward to this.
Happy days!!

Hello all,
Post #1 now updated with photos of kit contents, aftermarket parts and reference literature being used for this build. I am still waiting for some turned brass gun barrels for the three turrets, plus some more reference items which are the 'SAM Modellers Datafile' for the Lancaster and the 'Lancaster Explored' CD-Rom which contains hundreds of detail photos of the real aircraft.
Now off to my workbench to make a start on the build!
Thanks for looking.
