What a brilliant mind he had and such a shame that the genius of Alan Turing was lost to the world just because of a narrow-minded attitude towards someone who had different sexual orientations to the norm? Also a great shame that his machines were eventually destroyed purely because modern electronic computers were overtaking his pioneering machines. Whatever happened to keeping such important machines for posterity and could easily have been put into a museum instead of destroying them!?

A brilliant man who is owed a massive debt of gratitude and I'm surprised it took until as recent as 2013 to pardon him!
