Love the handrails Walter, that must have taken some doing. Building: DelPrado HMS Victory. Building: DeAgostini Sovereign Of The Seas.

Next up was the poop-deck rail.
The first pic is just a warning. For once i didn`t look into my books and built the rail as in the instructions with 9 pillars.
But actually there were only eight of them - so i had to redo.DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter

I formed the little hooks for the fire buckets out of small diameter brass wire.
On the real ship there were 21 buckets - but i had to adjust because of too little space. I had to settle for 16 buckets.
The hooks were mounted on the rail along with the hammock-net cradles (?).

Next step was to build those buckets.
Again I formed the bucket handles out of brass wire and glued them onto the buckets. If i remember right those buckets also were an enhancement of Mike`s.
I then painted the buckets black and then tired to paint those yellow crowns and letters.
I know - it is not a great paintjob - but it was the best i could achieve.DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter

For the hammock nets i tried something different this time.
Instead of the brass wire i used 0,75 thread - which Looks more like the real thing in my opinion.
Also i didn`t like the black netting so i purchased some cream coloured one.
How do you like the look? Or is the black one better?DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter

I have to ask again - can anyone see my pics?
If i look at my own diary - i can only see a tenth of the pics i posted. I tried to reload the page - but even after 40 times not all the pics are showing.
I know that it`s a common problem - but what good is it for to post my progress, if noone can see the pics or has to reload hundreds of times - which noone will do?
Shouldn`t there have been a forum update a long time ago?Greetings, Walter

Hi Paul,
those brass buckets were one of Mike`s enhancements i believe (along with the Gallery, the ship`s wheel and some other minor enhancements) which could be purchased quite a long time ago.Greetings, Walter

So i made the skylights and the mizzen pinrail yesterday.
To simulate the Windows i used Humbrol`s Clear Fix. DaDokta attached the following image(s): Greetings, Walter
