Hello, im after some advice/help. So i have tested the leg top sensor and it seems that the sensor is super sensitive and activates much further than the stated 500mm in mag!. Is this correct? Horlixs #CRAFT #BUILD #CREATE My YoutubePartworkUpgrades

Hi Horlicks Sounds like you have a faulty sensor contact C/S for a replacement by giving the issue number of the part needed. Andy Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Hi, thank you to determain that i tested the left leg sensor as its the same but was doing the same. Surely i cant have 2 that are faulty? I have ordered a new sensor control board as there are 2 screws below the top leg sensor plugs! I am thinking they are something to do with the calibration perhaps? Personally I would not mess with anything and doing so could void the warranty on the part as it would no longer be as supplied. The best thing to do is reorder new parts my sensors are working fine on the official build. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

ok they state to start 2m away from a solid object (in my case i am using a wall). I start at the stated 2m, all good no blue light. Then at 1.3m the blue light comes on, at 300mm the light goes off again. This is the same for both leg sensors. Also Semaj has posted the same thing with his build and he has tried 3 sensors. They cant all be defunked surely? On the official youtube build diary the guy just cuts in the sensor with a plank at 500mm and the light comes on. Ours does that but the Mag says to close the gap and it should come on at 500 or closer (that's how i read it) but it activates at 1.3m! its too far, the droid would not move in my house if that was the case.Hope you can understand what im trying to explain. To quote the instructions it says:- Ensure nothing is directly within 2m of the shoulder sensor. Then hold up a solid object and move it towards the sensor. Are you using the piece of wood as shown as it is a way of testing the sensor with low power from the battery test box. Its a simple low powered test to check the sensor reacts in a certain way ,hence the use of the wooden stick. If the sensors do not react as they say in the instructions then get a replacement. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Though the instructions say blue light should come on at around 500mm. It says nothing about it having to go off again at 300mm so the fact the light goes off at that distance is irrelevant for this particular test.
The light coming on at AROUND 500mm is all we are looking for and not to push its bounds as the battery power is not yet fully what it should be until the proper battery pack is installed.
It’s just a basic test to ensure the sensor works in a defined area using the method described in the instructions.

I understand it is a basic test, but the instructions say 500mm the light shouod come on, but its coming on at 1300mm, with 3 sensors. I am ordering replacement parts on monday. I have done some investigating. The 2 black circles with dots on them are in different positions to the build diary and video. I have spoken to others and they have different positions.

The adjustable resistors are set during the manufacturing process and should not be experimented with in any way. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

not touched them at all. the chap above says that the build diary here shows them in a different position to them in the build diary video, both de agostini productions. no mention of anyone adjusting them or touching them here. mine are also in a different position again, not that it means anything. The resistors have a variable value and are adjusted by the manufacturer where needed. My post to wickedboy was simply an answer to his observation with advice only. Current builds:-C57,Zero, Lamborghini Countach, Caldercraft HMS Agamemnon,Robi,R2-D2, MFH Cobra .

Yes i agree there, there is no need to adjust these! More and more people are having the exact same issue. I have come to the conclusion that the magazine is giving false information about the whole 500mm so don't worry too much at this stage, The Sensor control board will be controlled by a main board in the final build thus telling the sensor board what to do with the readings from the sensors. This is only a test to make sure the sensors are operational. As long as the blue led comes on at any distance i think all will be ok in the end. I think the guy that made the Official build diary video is correct in his test method. :-) Peace out and happy modeling :-) Horlixs #CRAFT #BUILD #CREATE My YoutubePartworkUpgrades

But we were told not to follow the video. Follow the mag instructions. Still confused Building: Ghostbusters Ecto-1, Ford GT40, Gone in 60 seconds Eleanor mustang, Shelby Cobra Complete: R2D2, Red Bull RB7 RC, Battleship Bismarck, Shelby GT500 'super snake'
Hi I had the same problems then tested it like my video here and it works try what I did then it might work https://youtu.be/z_mJ_eCYPW0
we got to the bottom of it all in the end, and everything is now sorted. i replaced the sensor circuit board, slightly adjusted my testing and it all worked perfectly.
